Potty Pal

A Potty Pal is a kid-sized seat that attaches to the seat of a standard toilet in the home and allows kids go potty just like they see adults doing. It has proven to be effective for many parents and their toddlers.

Instead of walking around with a plastic potty for your toddler, you can simply place the it on the regular toilet and watch your child learn to use the potty like a grown-up!

The Potty Pal is actually a three-in-one seat that includes an opening that flips up and shows the regular toilet seat for adults to use. Once you're done using it, you can just flush and put the toddler seat back down so it can be ready for whenever your little one is ready to impress by using the grownup toilet.

Who Is It For?

It's a great tool for a child who is already toilet trained, but still too tiny to sit on the regular seat.

  • It allows toddlers to feel safe using the grownup toilet.
  • It eliminates the need to disinfect and clean a potty chair
  • Once installed - it's ready for both adults and kids to use.

My favorite part is that this system comes along with its own storage space. When not in use, the child potty seat is hidden inside the lid so you don’t have to worry about guests seeing an unsightly contraption when they ask to use your bathroom!

One other great thing about using a such a unit is that you don’t have to worry about keeping a kiddies' potty clean and hygienic. Regular plastic potties have to be washed thoroughly and disinfected regularly to prevent bacteria from coming into contact with your toddler. With the Pal method, all goes straight into the toilet, and then flushed. There's no need to transfer waste from a potty to the toilet.

What to Look For

  • Ensure that installation is quick and easy.
  • An accompanied step stool and foot rest so it is easier for your toddler to climb up onto the seat, and also to rest the feet while using the toilet.

Adults can use it without any discomfort because the child seat doesn’t get in the way. Parents don’t have to worry about spending any time detaching the flip potty from the grownup toilet.

One popular type was the Dr. Merry's Potty Pal as it come with a reward system that allows parents to give stickers to their toddlers whenever they successfully use the toilet. However it appears to be out of stock everywhere.

A flip potty seat method works for parents and their toddlers because it is easy to install and kids are encouraged to imitate the behavior of their parents as they use the toilet. There's nothing kids like more than to feel a part of what they observe their parents and older siblings doing.
